7 Message exchange protocol

The messages defined in this standard shall be exchanged using secure ftp. Message senders and message recipients shall identify a mutually acceptable server for the message exchange.

CatalogTransferMessages shall be named as follows:

 CTM_CatalogTransferId_Version_YYYYMMDDhhmmssnnn.xml

CatalogTransferConfirmations shall be named as follows:

CTC_CatalogTransferId_Version_YYYYMMDDhhmmssnnn.xml

With:

  • CatalogTransferId being the identifier allocated by the message sender initiating the data exchange;
  • Version being the version of the CatalogTransferMessages with “0” being the original message and “1” being the first update; and
  • YYYYMMDDhhmmssnnn being the date and time that the message is generated or placed on the ftp server.


AcknowledgementMessages shall be named as follows:

ACK_MessageFileName.xml


With MessageFileName being the full file name of the message recipient acknowledging the message without the “.xml” extension.
